Two education and quality assurance magnates— none other than the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) President, Prof. Dr. Jianxin Zhang; and the CHED Commissioner Dr. J. Prospero “Popoy” De Vera have tremendously inspired the participants at Day 1 of the 30th AACCUP Annual National Conference.

Dr. De Vera congratulated AACCUP for continuously rising to meet “access and quality” among SUCs through its continued and strengthened accreditation processes. Dr. De Vera further mentioned that “SUCs must start working together, particularly led by the bigger SUCs bringing every other smaller SUC in going up, not only in the field of accreditation but even in all other concerns”.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Zhang talked on, “APQN’s 14-Yr Development, Major Projects and Emphasis on Capacity-Building”, where she shares plenty of opportunities for AACCUP and its accreditors to grow professionally. One of these is the support granted by APQN to international quality assurance activities like sponsored attendance to conferences and paper presentations as long as these papers are on quality assurance systems in the Asia-Pacific Region. Prof. Dr. Zhang also challenged AACCUP to host the 2018 APQN Conference.
