The Normal Lights, an International Publication Research of Philippine Normal University, recently published in its Volume II, No. 2, December 2017 issue the research conducted by Dr. Maria Glenda O. De Lara, a Board of Trustee and Treasurer of AACCUP, entitled “Outcomes-Based Program Quality Assurance Accreditation Survey Instrument: Its Development and Validation.” AACCUP provided technical assistance for the conduct of such research to Dr. De Lara. It was also awarded a Certificate of International Research Publication by the Philippine Normal University.

The development of the AACCUP outcomes-based quality assurance instruments which use both quantitative and qualitative approaches was made possible through a funding given by CHED to AACCUP.

Dr. De Lara’s research paved the way for the determination of the areas in the AACCUP-OBQA instruments that need improvement and revision. Thus, from the original 700 benchmark statements, the number of indicators was reduced to 672. In the research, all 672 identified benchmark statements passed both content validation and reliability test.
