The aspiration to attain higher levels of accreditation is a top-priority concern; thus, the momentum remains unabated among SUCs. A deluge of application for survey visits in 2017 keeps pouring in — an indication of SUC’s vibrant response to AACCUP Memorandum No. 17-01, dated January 10, 2017. It is reiterated that the deadline for submission of applications is February 15, 2017.

In the interest of fairness, convenience and utmost consideration to deserving institutions and programs, AACCUP shall prepare a schedule of accreditation survey visits in 2017, based on the following priorities:

PRORITY No. 1 — Programs that have lapsed within the period 2013-2015, the fact that BOT No. 6, s. 2016 has granted them another extension of 1-year grace period, under justifiable grounds;

PRORITY No. 2 — Programs that applied for visit in 2016 but were not accommodated in the General Schedule, including those that have  been wait-listed; provided that they re-apply so that their preferred date of visit could be considered.

PRORITY No. 3— Programs with validity status that lapsed in 2016 and would like to take advantage of the 1-year grace period until 2017.

It is likewise reiterated that:

  • The 3rd and 4th Survey—Phase 1 Visits shall be limited to 4-5 programs and subject to the availability of accreditors who are trained for higher level accreditation;
  • The 3rd and 4th Survey—Phase 2 Visits shall be scheduled separately from the regular ones.
